Hometown Pride on a Bigger Stage

Quinn Johnston carried a proven shooting touch from Summit High School to North Greenville University, where the Spring Hill native has grown from a freshman contributor into a starting guard. A 2024 Summit graduate, Johnston earned first-team All-District 10-4A recognition as a senior. In January 2024, 615 Preps included her among 40 Nashville-area girls basketball players to watch, reporting a 15.9-point scoring average at that stage of the season. Her shooting also earned a place in the TSSAA record book. Johnston made 118 three-pointers during 2022–23 and hit 11 against Wilson Central on November 19, 2022. Another listed performance: seven consecutive three-pointers against Franklin on February 25, 2022. Those entries document both her range and her ability to sustain a hot hand. At North Greenville, the 5-foot-4 guard wears No. 5. As a freshman in 2024–25, she played 25 games, started six and logged 341 minutes. She totaled 80 points, 28 rebounds, nine assists and eight steals, averaging 3.2 points. She shot 33.3% overall, 32.7% from three and 71.4% at the foul line, making 18 three-pointers. Her role expanded sharply in 2025–26. Johnston started all 28 games and led the team with 770 minutes, averaging 27.5 per game. She scored 209 points, averaged 7.5 points and 2.3 rebounds, and added 32 assists, 20 steals and two blocks against 30 turnovers. Her 53 three-pointers led North Greenville; she shot 31.2% from distance, 33.3% overall and 50% on free throws. Across those two college seasons, her totals reached 289 points, 91 rebounds, 41 assists, 28 steals and 71 three-pointers in 53 appearances. Her academic achievements include summa cum laude recognition on the Conference Carolinas Spring and Fall 2025 Presidential Honor Rolls. Johnston is listed as a junior on North Greenville’s 2026–27 roster. Her progression from six starts to a full-season starting role gives Summit followers a clear measure of her college growth.
